That Ghost Game
Arcade Shooter game made by Myself and Ade Doherty.
The game started as a small project to make a simple arcade game around killing enemies and a bouncing ball in Unity. With the assets made by Ade, programmed by myself, but designed together.

A second power up gate was added as well as a trial for difficulty in the form of cages that make the play area smaller. The play area now also uses the full screen. An aim line was added to show where players are shooting.

A version of the game was built and sent out privately to a few people for testing. The most common feedback was the lack of difficulty, clarity and size of the assets as the game appeared too big.

By now, I was iterating on play area with bumpers and power up gates. The enemies also got a different shape to facilitate more bouncing, while the ball also had the physics tweaked.

A new enemy was added, one that drops a bomb that explodes and displaces the ball. One power up was added and to be awarded to the player after multiple kills.

The game was polished with sfx, visual assets, a how to play and the feedback responded. Enemies now pick up in speed, and now the player can control the middle bumper.
